What is USJ?

Registered with the Library of Congress

Advised by the UCLA Undergraduate Research Center–Sciences

Great opportunity for undergraduates to get published

Peer-reviewed Publication

The UCLA Undergraduate Science Journal is a peer-reviewed publication registered with the Library of Congress, featuring top-quality research performed by UCLA undergraduates in all STEM fields, including life sciences, engineering, statistics, physics, mathematics, and computer science. We provide a multidisciplinary platform that allows students to publish their research, participate in the peer review, editorial, and layout processes of a scientific journal, and engage with the larger research community at UCLA.  Submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review and publication process run completely by undergraduates.

Staffed by Undergraduates

The USJ is reviewed, edited, and designed by a group of around 60 talented UCLA undergraduate students. We recruit every year in the fall.

Submit an Article

We are currently accepting article submissions! Articles in the USJ are written by undergraduates, providing a unique glimpse into the future of research.
